Chittagong Journalist Forum Dhaka condemns attack on journo Rishad, demands exemplary punishment to culprits

CNI Desk: Chittagong Journalist Forum Dhaka (CJFD) has strongly condemned attack on its joint secretary Rishad Huda, also senior reporter of Independent Television.
In a statement, organisation's president Mamun Abdullah and general secretary Touhidur Rahman demanded exemplary punishment to the perpetrators.
Police arrested a former leader of the Bangladesh Chhatra League in the capital in a case filed for allegedly beating Rishad Huda.
The arrestee is identified as Nazim Ahmed, former president of Dhanmondi Thana Chhatra League in Dhaka.
According to the case, Rishad Huda wanted to overtake SUV of the accused by a motorbike in a road behind Aziz Super Market Saturday afternoon. Irked by the horn, the accused along with associates swooped on Rishad.
