News Desk: Police have recovered the bodies of mother and two children in Chittagong metropolis. Their bodies were recovered from a house in Ismail Colony under Panchlaish police station around 8:30 am on Friday (October 15). The deceased were identified as mother Sumita Khatun, 32, daughter Jannatul, 6, and son San. The process of retrieving their bodies is going on till the last news is received.
Panchlaish police inspector Kamal Hossain confirmed the information to. "Locals informed the police around 4 am," he said. Police rushed to the spot. However, no one was opening the door of the house even after shouting. Later we broke down the door and saw the bodies of the mother and two children. Father Sohail was found inside the house. He is being questioned in police custody.
Police official Kamal Hossain added, "Initially, it is believed that the murder was due to a family quarrel." Senior officials are at the scene. Details will be known after the investigation. Earlier on Thursday (October 14), the bodies of three members of the same family were recovered in Chittagong's Mirsarai upazila.
