News Desk: It has been decided to expel the two students who were temporarily expelled from Dhaka University due to digital fraud and illegal means. The decision to expel was taken at a meeting of the disciplinary council on Monday. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman presided over the meeting.
The two who were expelled are: Md. Of the Accounting and Information Systems Department for the 2017-18 academic year. Rakib Hasan and Ishraq Hossain Rafi of Geology Department for 2017-18 academic year. The matter will be presented at the next syndicate meeting.
Dhaka University Bangla Department student of the 2014-15 academic year accused of being involved in anti-law and order activities at the meeting. It was decided to temporarily expel Akhtarul Karim Rubel from the university. With the opportunity to defend himself, it was decided to give a show cause notice as to 'why he should not be permanently expelled'. Besides, 72 students have been punished for different periods for misbehaving in the exams.
