News Desk: Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam has commented that corona cannot be controlled by increasing the number of hospital beds and doctors. At the same time, he called for wearing masks and respecting social distance.

He made the remarks in response to a question from reporters at a briefing at the secretariat after a virtual cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday (July 26th).

The cabinet secretary said, "These (corona) cannot be controlled by increasing the number of hospital seats and doctors." See countries in Europe, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany. Germany was helpless. Look at the situation in India, what has happened. If only people don't wear masks, distance doesn't mean control of corona infection will not be possible in any way. '

He said, ‘Look at Mecca-Medina, no one is allowed to come within 3 feet inside Medina. In Makkah, too, there are strict restrictions on coronavirus control. That's why Saudi Arabia has been able to control the corona infection. "

Asked if there was any directive from the Prime Minister to tighten the restrictions, he said, "We will sit in a meeting tomorrow (Tuesday), then decide." The meeting will be held at the secretariat on Tuesday at half past one.

There are many private offices open even under restrictions. When Khandaker Anwarul Islam was drawn to this issue, he wanted to know in reply, "Which office is open?"

Those caught on the streets say the office is open; When a reporter replied, the cabinet secretary said, "I also spoke to the Additional IG of the Industrial Police yesterday. Some of the machines in the offices have to be kept running." Those technical workers came and went. There are a lot of things that have to be serviced, these are the things they are doing. These are being searched by our mobile court. '
