Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has instructed the Prime Minister to be vigilant so that there is no nepotism and reach out to the real victims. He said no irregularities would be tolerated in this case.

Obaidul Quader gave the instructions at a briefing at his official residence on Wednesday.

The Awami League general secretary said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already announced an incentive package of Tk 3,200 crore for the helpless people affected by the lockdown, rural job creation, tourism and transport workers and the working people. In order for the real victims to be listed, maximum attention has to be paid.

On easing the lockdown, Obaidul Quader said the initiative of Sheikh Hasina's government is to reduce the suffering of the people during the Eid Yatra as well as to keep the financial security of the working people and the flow of the economy around Eid moving.

He said, "We have to keep in mind that we should not take the opportunity to relax this temporary restriction." In this situation, you have to be your own protector.

The general secretary of the Awami League said that the journey of the festival should not take the form of the last journey of life due to their indifference and recklessness.

Obaidul Quader said that even if the Prime Minister gives a breakdown of lockdown ahead of Eid, he will not give a corona break to anyone.

Mentioning that the public transport will run conditionally across the country from tomorrow as the restrictions have been relaxed, the Minister for Road Transport and Bridges said that the public transport will operate with half of the seats vacant in the 80 per cent increased fare coordinated in the previous continuity.

The Minister hoped that the transport owners and workers' organizations would operate the vehicles in compliance with the conditions including hygiene, keeping in mind the current transmission of corona.

The Minister of Road Transport warned that legal action would be taken against the transport for violating the conditions and charging extra fare.

Obaidul Quader said that the BNP was making rhetoric while the government was working sincerely in the Rupganj fire accident.

The general secretary of Awami League also commented that these are the continuation of the traditional anti-politics of BNP.

Obaidul Quader commented that BNP's house arrest politics and spreading hate speech are polluting the environment of healthy politics in the country.

Obaidul Quader, general secretary of the Awami League, also mentioned that the BNP is becoming unpopular with the people day by day by going over-politics with everything.
