JOB Correspondent: It has been decided to postpone the semester final examinations of Jagannath University (JU) which have been stuck for several years. There was a mixed reaction among the students as the exams were postponed. Many students are expressing their anger on Facebook through social media.

The students said that they have to stay in the same academic year for a long time as there is no examination. In this situation, they are not able to do the class for the next academic year. Session clutter has already been created. They are expressing frustration for fear of long session jam.

A student said in a Facebook post, "Earlier we were told to take the exam in June, then again in July we decided to take the exam in August and now it has been postponed again. No. "

Commenting on the Facebook post, another student said, "There is no point in harassing us by talking about exams like this again and again. It is better to say that we will not take exams. We do something else. I can't get a job. "

Azhar, a sociology student at the university, said: "I have been in the same academic year for almost three years. I don't know when the honors will end. As much as I had hoped, the exams will be postponed in August.

Mainuddin, a student in the public administration department, said, "We are frustrated because there are no exams. Studies are closed, the future is uncertain! The age of employment has not stopped.

Rakib, a student of the science faculty, said, "I came to Dhaka to pick up the mess after announcing the date of the exam. Now it has been postponed again.

A fourth-year student in the Faculty of Business Studies said, "I have been in the fourth year of honors for almost three years. I can't finish honors because there is no semester final exam. Children of the family, they are living in extreme despair. Our future is absolutely uncertain. "

Commenting on a Facebook post, another student said, "If the exam is postponed, why did we take the exam fee earlier? We could have taken it later. I paid the exam fee in the hope that the exam will be held. There is no point in harassing them like this. "

Several members of the Dean's Committee, including the university's vice-chancellor, have been contacted repeatedly about changing exam dates and harassing students, but they declined to comment.

Earlier, at a meeting of the Academic Council on June 13 this year, it was decided to take all the semester final examinations of Jagannath University from August 10. In this context, a notification was issued instructing to complete all the midterm and assignments of the online semester by July 18. About a month later, an emergency meeting of 12 online university deans decided to postpone the semester final exams on August 10, considering the deteriorating situation in Corona.
