News Desk: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has called upon the government as well as party leaders, people's representatives and the able-bodied to stand by the helpless people as the humanity of the people is revealed by standing by each other in the disaster.

"Preparations have been made as per the directives of the Prime Minister to reduce the possible flood damage and suffering of the people in the areas where the flow of water has increased," Quader said, adding that the risk of floods is increasing in several parts of the country (in the north).

Obaidul Quader urged the government as well as the Awami League leaders and workers in the flood-hit areas to stand by the people.

Stating that the Awami League is the first to stand by the people in times of calamity and crisis, the bridge minister said, "Those who create a storm of talk in the media are at a safe distance from the misery of the people."

Talking about the BNP leaders talking about financing for mega projects, the Awami League general secretary said, "The government has allocated enough for Corona. There is no shortage of financing in this case and it will not happen."

Obaidul Quader also said that the Prime Minister is very generous in meeting all the possible expenses including the collection of corona vaccine subject to the observance of rules and regulations.

Obaidul Quader added that the BNP has now come out in opposition to the mega project as it has not been able to show its ability to implement it. "They do not want the development of the country.

Stating that the country's economic potential is now very strong, he said, "At present, the foreign exchange reserves have exceeded ৬ 46 billion, and the expatriate income has increased to দশ 24.6 billion."
