Mobile court raids and collection of fines in Jhenaidah

Jhenaidah Correspondent: During the ongoing lockdown in the mobile court in Jhenaidah, a fine of Tk 16 lakh was levied from various individuals and businessmen. A mobile court in Jhenaidah has fined half a hundred traders in Jhenaidah for not wearing Max and selling goods at more than the price fixed by the government, keeping expired goods, buying and selling without maintaining social distance. Several mobile courts handed down the sentence.

Deputy Commissioner Mojibur Rahman said there were reports that due to Ramadan and lockdowns, prices were being kept higher than the prices fixed by the government and at the time of sale. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Selim Reza, Executive Magistrate Erfanul Haque Chowdhury, Jinnatul Islam, and Assistant Director of the District National Consumer Rights Protection Department Suchandan Mandal conducted raids in different areas of the city on the basis of such news. During this time, the new hatkhola of the city, the raw material of the old hatkhola, the grocer, the fish traders were fined various amounts. He was also fined for buying and selling without wearing a mask.
