Entertainment Desk: SM Mohsin, the talented actor of the country, has finally passed away. He was admitted to Bardem Hospital in the capital after contracting coronavirus. Corona infected her lungs severely.
He breathed his last at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday (April 18) while undergoing treatment (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun). The matter has been confirmed by SM Mohsin's son Based Mohsin. Meanwhile, Saladin Lavlu, president of the Directors Guild, an organization of directors of drama, confirmed that Janazah will be held today after Asr prayers. After that Ekushey Padak winner, SM Mohsin will be buried at Azimpur Cemetery.
The 63-year-old actor recently took part in the shooting of 'Antaratma' directed by Wazed Ali Sumon in Pabna. He returned from there on April 2. Upon his return, his family members first admitted him to a hospital when he developed corona symptoms. From there it was later taken to Impulse. The actor was taken to Bardem Hospital after his condition deteriorated.
From there he migrated to the land of no return. SM Mohsin has been performing on stage and television for almost four decades. He received the Ekushey Padak in 2020 in recognition of his commendable contribution to acting. He has worked in Shilpakala Academy for a long time.
Besides, he has also taught at Jahangirnagar University. He has been an Honorary Fellow of Bangla Academy since 2016.
