News Desk: Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nilufa Akhter has stood by the side of Rokon Rabidas (10), a child of Haldhara minority family, and his family by working as a cobbler in Sreevardi of Sherpur after the news was published in different media.

On Wednesday, April 14, the UAE handed over school bags and health care materials to Rokon, a cobbler sitting on the sidewalk at Jhagrachar Bazar in Velua Union of the Upazila. At that time, he handed over 5,000 Taka in cash to his family. The assistance was given in the office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer in compliance with the health rules. At that time, Rokon's family was overwhelmed with emotion after receiving financial support including education and health care materials. Rokon’s father Sadua Rabidas said, ‘UNO sir is a good man.

Helping our son to study. he also helped us. I pray that UAO sir is a bigger officer. ' In this regard, Sreevardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nilufa Akhter said, "I came to know through that news that the father of Shishu Rokon is ill."

His mother and brother work as cobblers to provide food for their sisters. Knowing this predicament, I have taken the initiative to help myself. He advised the child to study and go through this critical time so that they can dream anew. So that he can study well. He also said that he would look for the child for this.
