Patuakhali Correspondent: In addition to the increase in Kovid-19 infection in Bangladesh in the last few days, the number of deaths has also started increasing. In such a situation, the district administration has enforced a strict lockdown for one week from April 14 in Patuakhali district like the rest of the country to prevent the rise of corona infection.

Earlier, a notification signed by Patuakhali Deputy Commissioner Md Matiul Islam Chowdhury said all government and non-government offices, courts, shops, public transport, and all other institutions would be closed during the lockdown in Patuakhali district except for emergency services. In this context, strict lockdown is going on in the Patuakhali district. Since the morning of April 14, the police administration has been seen in a strict position at various street corners.

It has fined people without masks in important places of the city and if they go out without urgent need. Public transport and autorickshaws were also not seen on the city's main roads.

Shops and open markets in Sadar Road, New Market, Puranbazar, and Badhghat areas of Patuakhali district are closed. Every street Members of the security forces were seen at the corner. Tushar Das, a trader on Latif School Road, said, “We have to keep our shop closed for a week. "Even if it is a temporary business loss, everyone will be protected from the Coronavirus infection."

The district administration has also informed that the entry of foreigners in Patuakhali district has been monitored due to strict lockdown. People wandering around all the important places of Patuakhali district are being made aware and wearing masks is being ensured.
