Tentulia (Panchagarh) Correspondent: It has been alleged that more than 600 chickens of the poultry farm have been killed by mixing poison in the drinking water given by the miscreants. More chickens are dying from the application of that poison. Abdul Majid, the owner of the firm, broke down in the incident. The incident took place at Laboni Poultry Farm in North Boalmari village of Tentulia Upazila in Panchagarh.

At around 8 pm on Sunday, the poultry farm was visited and more than 100 brown layer chickens were found dead on a set of Abdul Majid's farm. There are 3 thousand chickens in that set. The price of a chicken is 800 rupees. Abdul Majid, the owner of the farm, complained that at some point in the night on the 28th, someone or someone mixed poison in the chicken water of the farm due to enmity. This causes a set of chickens to die in the morning. Later, Dr. Ajmal Huda Tapan, a veterinary surgeon of the Tentulia Animal Resources Office, came to know about the disease. My suspicion is that someone has mixed poison in the drinking water out of enmity.

More than 500 chickens died by Sunday night. As of 9 a.m. Monday, over 600 chickens had died. This farm has one and a half thousand chickens in one set out of 3 thousand chickens. Abdul Majid added that a neighbor had already tried to damage my farm. It is known to the local chairman and members. I have set up this firm with loans from various NGOs and agricultural banks. The incident caused a loss of over Tk 10 lakh. I don't know how to repay the loan. Abdul Majid said he would file a case in this regard. Neighbors Tofazzwal Hossain, Ismail Hossain, and Ujjwal said the incident was very sad. What animosity! Killing chickens by mixing poison in the farm's drinking water is not acceptable. Majid suffered a great loss.

Dr. Ajmal Huda Tapan, Veterinary Surgeon of the Upazila Animal Resources Office, said that after learning about the incident, a preliminary examination of the farm's chickens to find out what caused the disease did not reveal anything. I suggest testing it in an advanced lab to see if it is poisoned.
