They are all professional drug dealers, claims the police

News Desk: Anyone who thinks everyone is a member of the same family. He is going back to the village with one of his sick relatives. However, after being arrested by the police, it was found out that they were all drug dealers. On Sunday (March 6) morning, a group of drug traffickers was detained at the Chandpur launch terminal by the naval police along with a large quantity of yaba and cash.

Three of them are women and the other two are men. Police claim that the detainees are all professional drug dealers. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Chandpur Naval Police Station Zahirul Haque said a group of drug traffickers was going to Munshiganj via Chandpur with a consignment of yaba from Chittagong. On the basis of this news, the suspect was arrested by conducting a raid at the launch terminal.

After searching their bodies, they found 2,620 pieces of yaba and one lakh rupees in cash. The OC also said that the drug traffickers left Chittagong with about 14,000 pieces of yaba. They sell other yaba on the way. The last consignment was later caught. The OC said that all of them are professional drug dealers. Among them Karimun Nesha (35), Md. Masud (40), Rita Akhter (28) hail from Chittagong and Saiful Islam (26), and Khukumni (55) hail from Munshiganj district.

Preparations are underway to file a case against the detainees. Earlier, on January 30, in another operation, the naval police arrested two people along with 1,505 pieces of yaba. According to a local source, the shipment of drugs including yaba is going to Chandpur by train from Chittagong to other parts of the country as it is safer than the road.
