Government in Life Support: Gayeshwar

News Desk: BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy has commented that the government is in life support. He said the term of the government will end only if the people take up the responsibility of opening this life support.

Gayeshwar made the remarks while attending a prayer meeting in front of the party's central office in Naya Paltan on Friday (November 8th).

He further said that a government without the support of the people cannot have any support other than life support.

Calling for national unity, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy said there is no alternative to unity to get rid of the current predicament.

He said that the team may have people of different opinions, different paths but there must be a united effort among themselves.

Nazrul Islam Khan, another member of the party's standing committee at the time, said no opposition party was being allowed to stay. Just as Corona is harming everyone, the government is harming the country like Corona.

Criticizing the current opposition in the National Assembly, Nazrul said there is a petty opposition party that seeks the government's permission before criticizing in Parliament. A member of the BNP's standing committee commented that they started talking with the sentence, "If the government doesn't mind, I want to say something."
