SP Mahibul greeted Hindus on the occasion of Durga Puja in Kurigram

Kurigram Correspondent: Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahibul Islam Khan BPM has extended heartfelt greetings to Hindus on the occasion of Durga Puja in Kurigram. The main religious festival of the Hindu community has started from Thursday (October 22).

Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahibul Islam Khan told BPM that he called for observing Durgotsab in the autumn due to coronavirus. On the occasion of Durga Puja, besides the police, surveillance has been increased in white clothes. The Superintendent of Police further said that Durga Puja will be celebrated in 498 temples of the district. Security has been beefed up in each puja mandapa. He added that patrols on motorcycles and cars have been set up on the occasion of the Durga Puja festival in the autumn. Besides, a police check post has been set up.

Social media will be monitored to prevent any untoward incidents. He urged the concerned law enforcement agencies to be informed if there is any problem during the Durga Puja festival.
