14 killed in accident in Mexico

International Desk: 14 people lost their lives in a road accident in Mexico. Besides, 31 others were injured. The accident happened on Sunday local time. According to a report by AFP, local authorities have confirmed this information.

It has been confirmed that the accident happened on the outskirts of the capital of the state of Mexico. The local security secretary said that the casualty occurred when a bus overturned on the road.

According to the National Institute of Statistics, road accidents have increased in Mexico since 2020. Last year, 3 lakh 77 thousand 231 road accident reports were recorded.

Last February 24, 10 people died in a road accident in the north-central state of San Luis Potosí. Four of them were children.

Three people were killed when a truck ran over the migrants last Saturday. The incident took place in the southern state of Oaxaca, local media reported. The driver is still absconding in the incident.

Earlier on February 19, five Argentine tourists and a Mexican citizen died in an accident on the Ekiti highway connecting the towns of Quintana Roo, the beach resort of Tulum and Puerto Aventuras.

In addition, on February 24, 10 people were killed in another accident in the state of San Luis Potosi in north-central Mexico.
